In Affiliate marketing too, before starting your journey as affiliate marketer you need to understand about the primary affiliate marketing business models. You will then further move to choose any one plan or can go with all of them at once and (stick to the one which works for you).

[1] Paid Search (SEM) — This is basically the models mostly adopted by all leading affiliate marketer. The main form of this is Pay Per Click (PPC). In this business model we use PPC advertising to drive traffic towards our various affiliate promotions.
[2] Organic Search (SEO) — This is just opposite to paid search. We actually do some SEO on our website/affiliate products promotion landing pages to get FREE traffic from Google and Other search Engines. Organic search results are listings on search engine results pages that appear because of their relevance to the search terms, as opposed to their being advertisements. In contrast, non-organic search results may include pay per click advertising. Organic search relies on free techniques such as building backlinks and using page optimization in order to get your site to rank high for your keywords in the search engines, thereby driving traffic to your affiliate offers.
[3] Email Marketing — You can use this model if you have build your list by using email marketing service like AWeber. I use this model to promote various ClickBank affiliate products and it works amazingly.  Building a large subscriber list in the main features of this business model and this list should be within your niche so that you can promote relevant affiliate products to your list.
[4] Creating Niche Websites or Mini Sites Using this model, you’ll create a various niche sites consisting four to five pages, with valuable content aimed at your target audience, which you can use to promote various affiliate products and offers.
[5] Blog —Most of you are familiar with this business model, and how to use blogging for promote various affiliate products/offers.
[6] Other Tools/Models — There are other several new business models which are now being used to promote affiliate products like by creating membership sites, forums, creating affiliate products review sites etc.
