Frenchman Kélien Mbabé, Paris St Germain's wing, was crowned the Young Player of the Year award by France Football magazine for the first time this year.
The announcement of Mbabi's win at the ceremony on Monday evening was held at the Grand Place in Paris, and was presented by former Frenchman David Genola .
Mbabi beat Gianluigi Donaroma of Milan, Christian Borcic of Borussia Dortmund, Arnold of Liverpool and Hossam Awar of Lyon.
As well as AC Milan striker Patrick Cotrone, Groningen's Ritzo Duan, Roma player Justin Kluivert, Redsburg player Amador Hydra and Brazilian Santos's Rodrigo.
Mbabi, who starred with his team and led them to the World Cup Russia, after beating Croatia in the final of the tournament.
